Weekly Guidance: 4/3 - 4/9

Think on the recent destruction or chaos in your life. When we're feeling the heat of the flames it's hard to believe that anything could be spared. Personal crises - they feel, well personal. And when it seems that an external force is raging through our lives and our spaces, why should we expect that anything should be left standing?

Your job has taken a stressful and disheartening turn? Well, it's only a matter of time before your relationship falls apart, too!

Your family is in upheaval and conflict? Well, of course your finances are also getting to be rocky.

My friend, these thoughts and predictions of doom are not helpful.

We see storm clouds on the horizon, and lightning strikes the property taking down a tree, and then all of a sudden we're certain that we're going to be homeless. It's not going to happen that way.

Of course, sometimes bad things do happen. In spades.

Remember this - while everything in your life is connected, it's also all anchored separately. There is space between the threads of your life. Something will always remain in its place, left standing, and able to act as a new foundation for what you'll rebuild.

That's the message this week. Pay attention to what is strong. In your recent trials, what has bent but not broken? Start there. By examining what has been untouched you'll gain important insight into what serves you best right now. And then, moving forward, you can rebuild with only those components that are resilient.

Don't lose hope. The answer you're looking for is right in front of you, beautifully embodied in what remains.
